A Lil' Harsh, Kelis?

So, Kelis had a baby boy today. Congrats! But, rumor has it that Nas was not allowed in the delivery room. A source told AllHipHop.com

“Nas is in New York City today, anxiously awaiting the arrival of his son. It was his intention to be there for the birth, but unfortunately he has not been allowed to be present,” a source close to the rapper told AllHipHop.com. “While this is clearly heartbreaking to him, Nas continues to offer his support and love to his new baby boy and his mother.”

I know that the two are going through a messy divorce at the moment, but I still think that's a little harsh. She could have let him witness the birth. I think that sometimes, people should just put the drama aside for a moment in situations like these. But hey, do what you want.

In Search of a Good Black Man

I was browsing the internet when a stumbled upon a post on flyguychronicles.com. In one of the comments, there was a guy who was expressing his concern about women complaining that there are no Good Black Men out there. I strongly agree. I'm tired of my friends blaming their failure to start a relationship with someone on the lack of good men in the world. I must admit, there has been recent shortage. But you have to be optimistic. Don't give up on the good black man. He is out there. Just keep looking.

Also, remember that we black women have our faults, too. I'll save that for another post. ;)

Chris Brown and his Red Shirt says "Sorry"

In case you some how missed out on this, here's the video of Chris Brown apologizing for "what transpired" back in February.

Okay, Chris. I'm just as tired of hearing about the incident as you are. From what I hear, you wanted to respond earlier but couldn't because your lawyers told you not to. Consider yourself forgiven.

A lot of people have been giving him lip because it looks like he's reading from cue cards. I agree. I'm more of a "speaking from the heart" type of person myself. However, if he wasn't reading, I'm pretty sure that he would have said something really stoopyd. Smart move, publicist.

Whoever came up with the idea to make him wear that shirt is genius. It almost made me forget that he's guilty of domestic violence!

I'm ready to get past this when you are.

P.S. Put a bark collar on your bodyguard!
